TeamAlert conducted extensive research among young people and young adults. Unfortunately, the conclusion of the research was that the behavioral norm of not getting behind the wheel sober did not apply to everyone. Many young people did not experience or understand the consequences of driving under the influence of drugs.
TeamAlert asked me to develop a fun campaign to inform young people about the dangers and to change the norm. In doing so, I focused on the self-image of the young people, whereby they could choose the smarter choice; stay sober when driving.
Challenge
Create a awareness campaign for young adults and communicate the a clear message; Be smart and stay sober when driving.
Outcome
I created a three-part animation series, where each film ended with the tagline.
The animation series was promoted in schools and online and supported by matching posters. The campaign has gone viral several times, even years after TeamAlert actively promoted the campaign.
